SXSW Day 3: SeoulSonic

SXSW Day 3 - March 13, 2014

I will admit that day 3 had a bit of a tough start. It was the morning after the 'accident' that took the lives of 2 festival attendees and put another 20 + in the hospital. The police presence was larger, one of the main venues; The Mohawk was closed, and there were reporters everywhere. It made the start of the day pretty somber.

Seoulsonic 2K14 Schedule

The official schedule for the 2K14 Seoulsonic bands has been released and I've got the scoop. Check after the drop for the full line-up.

SXSW 2014 Schedule Released!

Hi all! The official Showcase dates and times are up for this year's South By Southwest Music Festival, and I have the line-ups for all the Korean acts coming this year.

SXSeoulWest - Music Time!

Hey there everybody! I'm steadfastly getting my preparations for the trip to Austin ready. I've been getting ideas and running with my head spinning for the last couple of weeks. I have officially gotten accomodations for my trip. And kind of an unorthodox way of traveling too - it's through an online BnB service. So I'm staying with a (hopefully!) nice older couple while I'm there. This adventure is turning into one big epic adventure as every day passes by!

SXSW 2014 OR BUST

Hi there! Long time no see!

Life has gotten away with me for awhile, and I've been neglecting my poor blog. But I have BIG NEWS. This girl, right here? She has officially been approved for press credentials for SXSW 2014~! And why-oh-why did I apply? BECAUSE YB IS COMING. I flipped a few lids over that news when they announced it. Since then I've been budgeting, plotting and prepping and I'm still working out details, but I'm gonna make it to see them no matter what!

I've got a full list of bands from the lovely land of Korea here:

Soundholic Treasure!

I was browsing through YesAsia tonight, and saw out of the corner of my eye a mention of "Indie." I always notice when rock or indie is mentioned so I decided to click on the link. Come to find out, Soundholic has a feature right now. If you buy an album from any of their artists you get a free Soundholic 2011 line-up sampler!

K-RoK Song of the Day: Glen Check - Disco Elevator

New band Glen Check just released their first EP - Disco Elevator. It's a short, 5 (or 6 depending on where you get it from) song EP, but it's enough to get a taste of what the band is about.
