Korean Music Awards 2014 - Nominees Part 1
It's award season again - and not just here in the United States. It's actually time for MY favorite award ceremony of the year the Korean Music Awards! Why do I like them so much? Well, for one, it's Korean music, but the main reason is because the Korean Music Awards are handed out based on a panel of industry judges NOT based on fan votes or popularity. Plus, a lot of my favorite Korean bands make the list too, and I love seeing them recognized. But anyway, on to the nominees!

SXSeoulWest - Music Time!
Hey there everybody! I'm steadfastly getting my preparations for the trip to Austin ready. I've been getting ideas and running with my head spinning for the last couple of weeks. I have officially gotten accomodations for my trip. And kind of an unorthodox way of traveling too - it's through an online BnB service. So I'm staying with a (hopefully!) nice older couple while I'm there. This adventure is turning into one big epic adventure as every day passes by!

Yellow Monsters
As a special treat to get everyone psyched for the new Yellow Monsters album Riot coming out soon, I drudged up this video for people to check out. It's a great spot the guys did for Arirang TVwith a mini band talk, and two acoustic tracks. Check it out!
For more Yellow Monsters, check out my buddy, Helikoppter's interview with Jae-Hyuck over on IndiefulROK.

K-RoK Song of the Day: Yellow Monsters - Benjamin (Acoustic)
The guys of Yellow Monsters are back again, this time with a digital single of their song Benjamin. Including the original album version and a lovely new acoustic version, it's a nice, softer side of the Yellow Monsters.

New Video: Yellow Monsters - Destruction
The Yellow Monsters are back with another release off of their self-titled freshman album and this time it's a lovely live performance video that really shows the energy the guys bring to their shows. The audience eat's it up! I do think I spotted No Brain in the back-stage area at one point too! Please enjoy it and remember to buy the album! :) I love this song. It has great energy and it's also Choi Jae-Hyuck's favorite song off the album. :)

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. (did I say, OMG?)
So, I'm minding my own business on twitter tonight, when one of my followers and soon to be editor just mentioned how much she enjoyed the Yellow Monsters after my little pimp post about them. Jae-Hyuck, one of the band members is on twitter (and follows me.) We were jabbering back and forth (YAMmag and I) and lo and behold: I'm gonna be interviewing him now. I think I squirmed and squealed like no one's business. Anyway, I'm sure there is lots of arranging to do for this, but just know that it is on the way. AND THAT I'M SO EXCITED.

K-RoK Song of the Day: Pt. 1: Yellow Monsters - Late
I'm still working on my YB post - it's taking longer because I have so much love for/information on them I want to do it properly. But, I also have people asking for new songs. So, here goes.
Yellow Monsters debuted this year. I first heard them on a compilation album from this summer and was immediately intrigued. They have a good range of sound on the debut album, ranging from punk to emo and basically, just a lot of awesome rockness. :) Here is their debut single: Late
I'll try this out - just posting a snippet of info and a song daily, then do reviews/profiles when I can. Does that sound good? What say, good K-RoKers?
