Korean Music Awards 2014 - Nominees Part 1

It's award season again - and not just here in the United States. It's actually time for MY favorite award ceremony of the year the Korean Music Awards! Why do I like them so much? Well, for one, it's Korean music, but the main reason is because the Korean Music Awards are handed out based on a panel of industry judges NOT based on fan votes or popularity. Plus, a lot of my favorite Korean bands make the list too, and I love seeing them recognized. But anyway, on to the nominees!

Korean Music Awards Best Dance & Electronic Song Nominees

I guess this is probably the most popular category as it contains f(x) and 2NE1, however there is a good mix of people in here. As much as I love 2NE1 and f(x) I hope the others have a chance because I think the idols win enough awards as it is. It would be nice for the others in this group to get some attention.

To be honest I don't think "pop" describes these artists best, but it is what the category translates to so I guess that's what I'll stick with. Sorry I didn't get the rest of the categories up last night - I started with the idea late and had to head to bed. Here goes:

Another nice category. I think I would call it "Indie" versus "Modern Rock" but whatever.

Of course, you didn't actually think I would leave out the rock category did you?

No, not just Taeyang is up for this award. (And no, it's NOT K-Rock, but hey, I love it all and I think this is an awesome category.)
